So, you attended an iTech Lab workshop! Which one and how was it? What skills did you learn? Do you find this valuable?

Audio Development helped my first online class be a success; the students loved hearing and reading the mini-lectures. I can create an audio file, edit it, and save it as an MP3 file. The creation and uploading to Blackboard is fairly simple. The workshop taught me everything I needed to know, and was paced just right.

VoiceThread --if you haven't tried this you are missing one of the easiest and very best tools for student interaction and critical thinking. I use it online and on-ground to rave reviews from students. I love it. It is very simple to create comments: choose from text, audio, or use a webcam ( this is easy to do). I use my exisitng PowerPoint slides and upload them (easy to do). Word, Excel, and other files can be used.

Bonus: the skills I learned helped me when I first used Jing.
